18‑Month Transitional Shelter Program

TOTAL RECOVERY FOUNDATION is not a short‑term shelter. Survivors receive up to 18 months of trauma‑informed care, housing, and empowerment programs designed to rebuild lives with dignity.Our transitional program includes:

Safe housing - Each survivor receives a personalized recovery plan tailored to her unique needs, goals, and healing pace.
Individualized recovery plans and mentorship - Trained mentors walk alongside participants throughout the program, offering guidance, accountability, emotional support, and consistent encouragement.
Life‑skills, education, and employment readiness training - Survivors will gain essential skills for independent living, including financial literacy, household management, communication, and problem‑solving. We also provide educational support, career coaching, résumé development, job‑readiness training, and employment placement assistance.
Emotional healing and holistic wellness support - Survivors receive trauma‑informed counseling, support groups, and wellness services that nurture emotional, mental, and physical well‑being. Services may include therapy, mindfulness practices, stress‑reduction activities, and wellness workshops that support whole‑person healing.
Step‑by‑step transition planning for independent living - Throughout the program, participants work with staff to build a clear, achievable transition plan. This includes securing stable housing, establishing income, strengthening support networks, and developing the confidence and skills needed to thrive independently after leaving the shelter.

Holistic CareHolistic care is a whole-person approach to healing that supports someone's emotional, physical, mental, spiritual, and practical needs together so they can recover fully, not just survive a crisis.
